The Ripley Valley State Secondary College Canteen,
JIN JINBA, "place of food", provides students and staff with a convenient
range of fresh meals, snacks and drinks throughout the school day.
With dedicated food preparation, storage and service areas, cashless purchasing facilities
and a hardworking team behind the counter, our Canteen is equipped to support the needs of
our growing College community.
The team takes pride in providing efficient, welcoming service, whether preparing daily meals,
serving students during busy breaks or catering for a College event.

Our Canteen
Our Canteen is more than a place to purchase lunch. It is a busy College facility designed
to support food preparation, student service and catering throughout the school day.
Dedicated preparation, storage and service areas allow the team to prepare and distribute
a wide selection of food efficiently. Cashless point of sale facilities also help students
move through the Canteen quickly during busy service periods.
Meet Chef Claire
Our Canteen is led by Chef Claire, our Canteen Manager,
who brings more than 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry.
With a wealth of knowledge and a genuine passion for food and service,
Claire and her team are committed to providing fresh, quality food that
our students and staff can enjoy.
Claire also has extensive experience with food allergies and dietary requirements
and is happy to work with families to help meet individual needs.

Ordering and cashless purchases
Ripley Valley State Secondary College uses My Student Account (MSA)
for online ordering and secure cashless purchases at the Canteen.
Through the
My Student Account web portal

parents and carers can:
- Place and manage online orders
- Add funds to their student's account
- Monitor purchases
- Set spending limits

- Record relevant allergy alerts
- Set low balance notifications

Students use their existing College ID card to access funds at the Canteen.
Photo identification at the point of sale and other security measures help protect
each student's account.
ORDER ONLINE THROUGH MY STUDENT ACCOUNT
Preorders
Students can also place a preorder at the Canteen
before the first school bell.
Preorders can be placed through the dedicated preorder window.
EFT and student card payments are available.
Setting up My Student Account
Follow the
My Student Account Parent Portal Manual
to create your parent profile and add your student.
You will need your student's identification number, which is printed beneath the barcode
on their College ID card.

Allergies and dietary requirements
We understand that every student is different.
If your child has a food allergy or dietary requirement, please let us know.
Chef Claire and the Canteen team are experienced in managing food allergies and
dietary requirements and are happy to discuss individual needs with families.
Parents and carers can also record relevant allergy information through My Student Account.

Catering services
The Ripley Valley State Secondary College Canteen is pleased to offer catering services
to our College community.
The team can prepare food for occasions ranging from small group gatherings and morning teas
to larger meetings and working lunches held during school hours.
Sweet, savoury, hot and cold options are available, and dietary requirements can be discussed
when placing an order.
