Our Canteen

Our Canteen is more than a place to purchase lunch. It is a busy College facility designed to support food preparation, student service and catering throughout the school day.

Dedicated preparation, storage and service areas allow the team to prepare and distribute a wide selection of food efficiently. Cashless point-of-sale facilities also help students move through the Canteen quickly during busy service periods.

Our Canteen team

Our dedicated Canteen team works behind the scenes each day to prepare food, serve students and keep the facility operating smoothly.

The team is committed to providing friendly service and convenient food options for students and staff, while also supporting meetings, functions and other activities across the College.

Ordering and cashless purchases

Ripley Valley State Secondary College uses My Student Account (MSA) for online ordering and secure cashless purchases at the Canteen.

Through the MSA web portal, parents and carers can:

  • place and manage online orders
  • add funds to their student’s account
  • monitor purchases
  • establish spending limits
  • restrict the purchase of specific items
  • record relevant allergy alerts
  • activate low-balance notifications.

Students use their existing College ID card to access funds at the Canteen. Photo identification at the point of sale and other security measures help protect each student’s account.

Setting up My Student Account

Follow the My Student Account Parent Portal Manual to create your parent profile and add your student.

You will need your student’s identification number, which is printed beneath the barcode on their College ID card. If you cannot locate this number, email canteen@ripleyvalleyssc.eq.edu.au.

Accounts can be topped up using:

  • Credit card: funds are credited to the student’s account immediately.
  • BPAY: funds may take up to three business days to appear in the student’s account.
