At Ripley Valley State Secondary College, we are committed to developing productive citizens, ethical leaders, and positive contributors to our
community. We believe that education extends beyond the classroom and should provide meaningful learning opportunities for all members of our
wider community.
Strong partnerships are central to our vision. We work closely with the Ripley Valley community and external agencies to enhance the support and
opportunities available to our students. Current partnerships include the
Student Support Services Committee, with representation from a Queensland Youth and Families Support Services (QYFSS) Youth Worker, and the Defence Schools Mentor through the Department of Defence. We also value the active contribution of our dedicated Parents and Citizens' Association, and we hold a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Gateway to Industry Schools Program in Advanced Manufacturing, Construction skills and Queensland Health. Our college recognises the rapid growth of the manufacturing industry in Queensland and the emerging opportunities in the Ipswich region over the next 15 years.
As our college continues to expand, we remain committed to forming new partnerships that will support the development of the Ripley Valley Corridor and strengthen pathways for our students.
We are proud to maintain strong connections with our local primary schools and offer a variety of transition and enrichment programs. Our partnerships extend to leading universities and industry organisations that support our
mission to provide a diverse range of experiences for students, including:
· Ipswich RSL
· WesTEC Trade Training Centre
· University of Queensland
· Queensland University of Technology
· Griffith University
· University of Southern Queensland
· Springfield United Football Club
· Creative Edge Dance
· Ipswich City Council
We warmly welcome all families into our college community. Parents and caregivers are encouraged to connect with our staff, attend regular
information sessions, participate in our School of Excellence events and Parent-Teacher Interviews, and contribute as active members of our Parents and Citizens Association or School Council.
We are also proud to partner with a growing network of alumni who support our goal of delivering an exceptional education. We look forward to
welcoming you to Ripley Valley State Secondary College.
As our College continues to grow, we will partner with more external agencies to support the growth of the Ripley Valley Corridor. If you are interested in creating a community partnership with our school please contact us at principal@ripleyvalleyssc.eq.edu.au
